As a proud member of USA 829 and IATSE 487 unions, Kim has been instrumental in curating the look and feel of several large studio iconic and award-winning productions. Her remarkable portfolio encompasses shows like “The Wire”, “House of Cards”, “Step Up 2 The Streets”, “Charm City Kings”, “Holidate” and “Jackie”. Additionally, she’s showcased her remarkable talents in “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “The Purge”, “Wake”, “Lady In The Lake” and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”.
She has worked with numerous Emmy award winners including Natalie Portman, Denzel Washington, Jessica Chastain and Mahershala Ali and worked alongside big talented designers including Shiona Turini and Helen Huang.
Beyond the film and television sphere, Kim’s expertise in costumes & styling extends to live performance events such as Ms Lauryn Hill and Usher as well as commercials for big brands including Adidas, Ketel One, Nike, EA Madden featuring Lamar Jackson, Samsung, Facebook, UNDER ARMOUR and Toyota. She has contributed to various magazines in the role of style editor covering fashion and lifestyle trends.
Kim was recently described as “magical and so necessary to the success of the worldwide campaign” by an esteemed colleague. Also called “big brain” by another while solving a design element for a dance routine gag. Doubled with having a deep respect and understanding of creating real characters through layered nuanced costuming for film and tv to also staying sharp on market trends for fashion projects, Kim’s thoughtful approach to styling and design is a masterful mix of gritty, innovative and chic.
